TO ALL ASPIRING COMEDIANS:

If you want to be a comedian remember a simple fact;
You are an actor in a one man show, not just the actor, but the writer and director.
I am consitently amazed at the amount of comedians that do not rehearse.
Rehearse over and over again.
No amateur comedian is getting enough stage time to perfect his or her act.
A football team will practice up to two times a day for hours at a time, five days a week. That does not include time spent watching film or on individual athletic training for a single hour of game time football.
It should be no different for comedians. If you're doing a ten minute set, you should be rehearsing that set twenty times or more.
That does not include improv, acting, singing, dance, etc classes that you are taking to make you a better entertainer.
Or you can be a wannabe poser for the rest of your life.
Your choice.
